Well quite honestly I am really excited to finally be starting my first blog post! It's taken me a surprisingly long time to get here, but man am I glad to be here! :) I am feeling great with my first project that I have to present the world! Through the recent reconnection of an old friendship, I also accepted an offer. Through my this old friend of mine, I also made a new friend who was going to a wedding soon and not only wanted to get her hair done, but trusted a total stranger to do it! Upon accepting this task I also found out that I had no limitations. Sure, she was going to a wedding, but so many people are particular about what they like that having no guidelines almost made this a little more nerve-racking! Let me introduce you to the lovely Noelle!
Noelle is hilarious and opinionated woman, much like myself. Could that have anything to do with why I took to her so well? Nah. With her dark complexion I thought it would be nice to bring some warm tones into her hair for the fall and so that when she was outside in the Arizona sun, her hair would really stand out! I decided to do some red highlights subtly all over to add dimension and to even out her existing hair color I used a brown copper to keep in touch with our warm tones. Having gone without a haircut in quite sometime, I trimmed Noelle's layers up a few inches and kept the majority of the existing length.
As a true product of pop culture, Noelle was all too familiar with makeover shows on TV and didn't look in the mirror at all through this process. How did I get so lucky for my first model? ;) With Noelle's background, she wasn't she I could handle then entirety of this task, but I am proud to say that given some extra time I was able to not only impress her, but finally give her a true beauty experience. Every lady deserves to be pampered! A few days later I received a text from Noelle saying that the hair was a big hit at the wedding! That was the best feeling in the world; turning a total stranger into a friend and a client. I had so much fun through out this whole makeover process and I already have a few more planned! :)
P.S. Now that I've done my first post, I'll be working on my blog a lot more often. I've already got a few more things planned :)
